The room began to spin and I instantly felt dizzy. The only thing I remember next is an overly large lady with a really bad wig standing over me, fanning my face with a piece of paper.

“Miss Jenkins, are you okay? You nearly scared us to death,” the lady said as she helped me sit up.

“What happened?” I asked.

“You fainted. It must have been the letter.”

I nodded. I remembered the money. Lord forbid I dropped out of college, or better yet failed, I would be set for life. However, the Fool kept ringing in my ear.

Don’t do anything foolish Katie, you know the consequences I kept telling myself.

“Do I need to call anyone?” the lady asked.

“Um, no. I’m feeling okay. I’ll call my friend Finny to meet me at my apartment though.”
